There was this small bakery named Jean Boulangerie near our university in Seoul which made delicious bread, cookies and sandwiches. The shop was already very popular in the neighborhood but recently a Korean TV channel did a story on it and after that customers from all over Seoul started pouring in to this small bakery. As the shop was very small with limited resources, supply and staff, it couldn’t meet the sudden increase in the demand. They had to close the shop for a month for renovation and scaling up their whole system. People kept pouring in to the shop to be welcomed by a ‘Will Reopen Soon’ banner.
Today the shop opened after renovation and within a few hours there was big queue of people lining up outside the shop. I hope they could maintain their quality with the huge increase in the demand. Media matters, man! 🙂
